RITZVILLE — The Bronco girls basketball team routed the Kittitas Coyotes, 61-28, Dec. 13, just three days after falling to the Columbia (Burbank) Coyotes, 47-34, on Dec. 10.
On her home court in Gilson Gymnasium, Zoe Galbreath led the Broncos to an easy win over Kittitas.
With 31 individual points, she outscored the entire Kittitas team.
The Broncos opened with a 23-6 dominating first quarter, before Kittitas closed the margin in the second.
At halftime, the Broncos had a 27-16 lead.
That second-quarter rally was all the Coyotes could muster, as the Broncos expanded the margin in both the third and fourth quarters, outscoring Kittitas 13-6 in the third and 21-6 in the fourth to take the easy win.
Elyssa Nash was the high-scorer for Kittitas with 13 points.
In addition to Zoe Galbreath’s points, Alle Mendez and Madisyn Cameron added 8 points each, Claire Wellsandt 7, and Lexie Hernandez, Temple Gefre and Rose Fedie 2 each. Saige Galbreath added 1.
Against Columbia, the Bronco girls kept pace with the Coyotes in the first quarter, but Columbia took over in the second. At the half, Columbia led 20-14.
Columbia expanded its lead by 4 points in the third to take a 30-20 lead going into the final stanza.
A late rally by the Broncos put them closer, but Burbank held-off Lind-Ritzville for the 47-34 win.
Columbia didn’t report individual statistics.
Scorers for the Broncos included Saige and Zoe Galbrath, Feide, Addy Colbert, Gefre, Hernanded Feide, Wellsandt, Cameron and Mendez.
