PUBLIC NOTICE OF

APPLICATION TO CHANGE TWO (2) GROUNDWATER CERTIFICATES

TAKE NOTICE:

That Gavin Johnson, Johnson-Reaugh, LLC of Othello, WA on June 25, 2024, filed Water Right Change Application Nos. CG3-20034C@2 and CG3-24292C@2, to transfer the place of use as granted under Groundwater Certificate Nos. G4-20034C and G3-24292C.

That Groundwater Certificate No. G3-20034C authorizes the withdrawal of 1000 gallons per minute, 1282 acre-feet per year, from March 1 to November 15, each year, for the seasonal irrigation of 860 acres.

That Groundwater Certificate No. G3-24292C authorizes the withdrawal of 2000 gallons per minute, 1290 acre-feet per year, from March 1 to November 15 each year, for the seasonal irrigation of 880 acres. The total under both rights is limited to 880 acres.

The authorized points of withdrawal are from seven wells within: Well 1) NW¼SW¼ of Section 24 T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M., Well 2) NE¼NE¼ of Section 19, T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M., Well 3) SE¼SE¼

of Section 21, T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M., Well 4) NW¼SW¼ of Section 30, T. 15 N., R. 32 E.W.M.,

Well 5) SE¼NE¼ of Section 6, T. 15 N., R. 32 E.W.M., Well 6) SE¼SE¼ of Section 7, T. 15 N., R. 32

E.W.M., Well 7) SW¼NW¼ of Section 8, T. 15 N., R. 32 E.W.M.

The authorized place of use for both rights is the SE¼ of Section 24, T. 15 N., R. 30 E.W.M., lying easterly of the East Low Canal and SW¼ of Section 17, E½ of Section 19, and NW¼ and S½ of Section 21, S½N½ of Section 24, T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M., and SE¼ of Section 26, T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

That Mr. Johnson proposes to change the place of use of Groundwater Certificate Nos. G3- 20034C and G3-24292C as follows:

• 300 acres from the E½ of Section 19, to 250 acres within the N½ of Section 20 and 50 acres to the SE¼ of Section 17, all in T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

• 75 acres from the SE¼ of Section 26, to the SE¼ of Section 17, all in T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

• 82 acres from the SW¼ of Section 17, T. 15 N., R. 32 E.W.M., to the E½ of Section 19, T. 15 N., R. 31E.W.M.

• 115 acres will remain in the NW¼ of Section 21, T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

• 22 acres from the SE¼ of Section 26, to the S½NW¼ and S½ of Section 22, all in T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

• 80 acres from the SE¼ of Section 24, to the S½NW¼ and S½ of Section 22, all in T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

• 43 acres from the SW¼ of Section 17, to the S½NW¼ and S½ of Section 22, all in T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

• 20 acres from the NW¼ & S½ of Section 21, to the S½NW¼ and S½ of Section 22, all in T. 15 N.,

R. 31E.W.M.

• 120 acres stay on the S½N½ of Section 24, T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

• 23 acres from the SE¼ of Section 26, to the S½N½ of Section 24, all in T. 15 N., R. 31 E.W.M.

All within Adams County, Washington.

Protests to this application must include a detailed statement of the basis for the objections. Protests must be accompanied with a fifty dollar ($50.00) non-refundable recording fee.
