Cheney

Dow Excavating could not be more excited to put on yet another amazing light display for the Cheney community this year. We absolutely love bringing light and joy to our small town and would highly encourage everyone to stop by, check out the lights, buy a tree, and take some festive pictures!

Colfax

Colfax will host the Festival of Trees in Libey Gallery at The Center Dec. 4-30. On Dec. 7 tour trees and vote for a favorite tree, community favorite tree will be announced at 5 p.m.

From 3 to 5 p.m., selfies with Santa in the downstairs meeting room during “A Not So Silent Night Party”. Kids ornament making will happen from 3-6 p.m. in The Center, with cookies and cocoa; Holiday Storytime 5-5:30 p.m. for all ages.

Colfax will also be hosting another year of Winterfest on December 7.

There will be Chocolate and Wine Pairing Dec. 5-7 at The Cellar, vendors at Colfax Eagles Club, Run Rudolph 5k, Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Codger Pole 5-6 p.m., a Lighted Christmas Parade down Mill and Main Street 6:30 p.m. and fireworks after the Parade.

Peace Lutheran Church will also be hosting Viking Fest from 12 to 2 p.m. on Dec. 7-8.

Friends of Hospice will host a Tree of Light and Remembrance Ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 3, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Colfax Library.

Davenport

On December 4, grades K-5 will have their Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. in the middle school gym. December 11 will have the middle school concert in the high school auditorium at 6 p.m. and on December 11 the high school concert will be at 7 p.m.

Davenport Hometown Christmas is Dec. 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

There will be a gingerbread house competition, food, hot chocolate, pictures with Santa, carnival games, prizes and much more!

Edwall

There will be a K-12 Winter Concert at Christian Heritage on December 17 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Garfield

The town’s annual Christmas party will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the elementary school. Join in to meet Santa, play games and enjoy some snacks.

Harrington

Hometown Christmas will be on Saturday, Dec. 7.

There will be shopping, Santa Bingo, sleigh rides, caroling at 3 p.m., tree lighting at 4:30 p.m., and, a visit from Santa and pictures with him at the Harrington Opera House!

The Memorial Hall will be filled with vendors including the Harrington FFA wreath and poinsettia sales and will also offer lunch all from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Harrington Haus will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will offer music by The Hawk Creek Band as a fund raiser starting at 5:30 p.m., proceeds benefit the Tree of Sharing.

Kahlotus

Kahlotus Christmas Market will be December 14th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kahlotus Community Club. Enjoy a vibrant display of handcrafted goods, seasonal treats and last minute gifts. Call Vicki Holder 509-366-1086 for more information.

LaCrosse

LaCrosse will be holding their Morning With Santa December 14. Mrs. Claus will be reading a story from 10-10:30 a.m. and Santa will arrive at 10:30 a.m. to visit with the kids and take pictures. The library will have craft making from 10:30-11 a.m.

Odessa

There will be a TK-12 Winter Concert on December 16, at 6 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. A surprise guest is expected.

Christmas Fest December 4, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., in downtown Odessa. There will be a variety of vendors, raffles, food, tree lighting and Santa will be here too!

Palouse

A tree lighting contest will be held at the town’s native garden from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 7. Locals and businesses can decorate trees that will be voted on and selected for prizes. The top 3 trees will be announced during the City’s tree lighting ceremony Dec. 21. Hot drinks and treats will be available.

Reardan

On December 11, Reardan school will have a grades 5-12 Band Concert at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.

Santa Train Rides at Inland Northwest Rail Museum, December 7 & 14. Take a ride with Santa on full-size, restored train cars. Tickets available at Inland NW Rail Museum.

Reardan Lions Club Free Hometown Christmas at the Railroad Museum, December 14, 6-8:30 p.m. Free chili, coffee, hot chocolate, visit with Santa and take pictures.

Ritzville

Ritzville Winterfest is kicking off soon! On Dec. 6 there will be “Christmas at the Carnegie” at the Ritzville Public Library at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7 will see the Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ritzville Grade School. Dec. 7 there will be a movie matinee at 2 p.m. at the Ritz Theatre. On Dec. 13 there will be an Ugly Sweater Party at the Ritzville Eagles at 6:30 p.m. and Pancakes with Santa on Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. at the Eagles. The Train Depot will be hosting Christmas at the Museum on Dec. 7 and 14. On Dec. 14, there will be a Fly-In with Santa at 10:30 a.m. at Ritzville Schools. Also on Dec. 14 there will be “Quinterfest” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Knuth Building. To wrap up Winterfest, there will be a Santa Parade downtown followed by an ornament hunt.

Spokane Valley

Celebration of Lights Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. at Balfour Park located at 105 N. Balfour Road. Enjoy music, hot chocolate and cookies and a visit from Santa.

Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 7, with mealtimes at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. at CenterPlace Regional Event Center located at 2426 N Discovery Place. There is a cover charge which includes a warm pancake breakfast, crafts, games and a visit with Santa.

The Winter Market will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m .; and Sunday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Center Place Regional Event Center located at 2426 N Discovery Place. Admission is free and vendor space is available for a fee. Attendees will find gifts from local small businesses and vendors selling holiday wares. Attendees can enjoy a beer garden by LeCatering, festive music, kids crafts and a free photo opportunity with Santa.

Spokane Valley’s Parks and Recreation Department has a direct line to the North Pole. Families can register for the Letter from Santa program through Dec. 13 to receive a personalized letter from Santa Claus himself. This unique program is open for participants of all ages and provides a festive gift and memory.

Sprague

On Dec. 8, 10-2 p.m. at Community Hall, Santa arrives at noon. Enjoy crafts and food. Profits go to Sprague Food Bank and Chamber. There will be a Junior/Senior High Concert, Dec. 18, 7 p.m.

St. John

On Saturday, Dec. 7, St. John will begin its annual Winterfest celebrations.

There will be all day shopping specials! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. a craft market will be held at the fire station, located on Front Street. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. a holiday fair will take place at the Eccles Community Hall.

From noon until 4 p.m. there will be golf pool at the city hall. Photos with Santa Clause at Torry’s Country Store, 102 Front Street. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Reindeer Games at the lot east of Heritage Hardware and at 3:45 p.m. There will be stories with Mrs. Clause at the St. John library. Torchlight parade at 5 p.m. and fireworks over downtown to follow.

On Dec. 8 the St. John Community Club’s Winterfest Benefit will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the St. John Community Building, 304 Front Street. At 5 p.m. there will be a cocktail hour and silent auction followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and a live auction after dessert.

Tekoa

Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 30. Stop by for shopping, kids crafts, gingerbread contest, pictures with Santa, a tree lighting ceremony, hay rides a lighted tractor display, movie matinees and much more! The Tekoa Empire Theatre will also have a Christmas convert celebrating local jazz icons, with door opening at 6:30 p.m. and the concert from 7 to 9 p.m.

On Dec. 7, Christmas on the Palouse will see sampling, seasonal treats, shopping, gift basket drawings, Nana Marie’s cupcakes and more at Homestead General Store from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Dec. 20 Eclair’s will host a hot chocolate party to celebrate Christmas. Build your own chocolate creations, enjoy a mile-high cocoa or fill your own holiday mug.
