NEED $35,000 IN COUNTY ROAD WORK
In order to provide funds for taking care of the road construction work the county commissioners will have to exceed their 1924 budget allowance by $35,000. They are therefore taking steps to declare an emergency, so the funds may be expended legally. The funds are on hand in other funds and will simply be transferred to the road and bridge fund.

In court Sielaff repeated that he was "sorry" for his misdeeds, and said he hoped to improve himself by learning a trade at the penitentiary.
