SPOKANE — The Broncos boys middle school cross country team competed in its first league meet of the season on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at St. George’s School.
Eighth-grader Jayden Stark paced the Broncos, finishing 34th overall with a time of 12:41.60 in the 1.5-mile race.
Bronco eighth-grader Graham Christianson was 67th and seventh-grader Zachary Heater was 68th, with times of 15:29.80 and 15:29.90, respectively.
Andrew “Ty” Thornton, a seventh-grader, finished 75th with a time of 16:47.80.
No local girls competed in the meet.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Broncos’ middle and high school runners were scheduled to travel to Colfax for the next league meet.
Racing got under way at 4 p.m. at the Colfax Golf Club; the newspaper went to press before meet time.
