Wanted man turns himself in

Pruneda sought in truck, diesel thefts

WARDEN - A local man wanted in connection with the theft of a tractor-trailer turned himself in Sept. 19.

Rafael Pruneda, 43, was arrested on theft of a motor vehicle and

third-degree theft.

According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, Pruneda is also a suspect in other crimes in Grant and Franklin Counties.

Pruneda turned himself in after authorities executed a search warrant at his property in the 9500 block of S.E. Road U, in Grant County, records show, noting deputies had evidence linking him to the theft of a tractor-trailer in Adams County.

"The individuals at this location have been identified as suspects involved in the theft of a semi-tractor and trailer and theft of diesel fuel from Adams County," Wagner said on social media. "Investigative efforts have led our deputies to this site, where they are now searching the residence with a valid warrant for additional stolen property related to the thefts.

During a search, deputies discovered a new Trinity Eaglebed trailer stolen from a Pasco dealership, records show.

Pruneda was not at the location during the warrant search, Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner reported, noting law enforcement officers were seeking information on his whereabouts.

Pruneda was believed to have been driving a Kenworth truck with a potato trailer attached.

Wagner said Pruneda "did the right thing by turning himself in to Adams County deputies."
