Deputies seek man in wire thefts

Two others arrested and jailed

RITZVILLE - One man is on the lam and two were arrested Friday, Sept. 27, after allegedly attempting to steal wire from potato sheds.

Jordan Michael Blaak, 26, and Justin Michael Favaro, 33, both of Othello, were both arrested for first-degree theft and first-degree malicious mischief.

Bud Ashton Davis, 37, is wanted on the same charges, the Adams County Sheriff's Office reported.

The arrests and search for Davis began after deputies received a report of a wire theft from potato sheds near the intersection of West Heinemann and North Deal Roads.

Blaak and Favaro and a vehicle were caught on surveillance footage, records show.

Deputies used the information to locate the vehicle in the 600 block of South Sara Lane in Othello, where Blaak and Favaro were arrested.

The arrest is Blaak's second in just over a month.

On Aug. 22, he was arrested for first-degree theft in connection with stealing a forklift from the 1900 block of West Hatton Road.

During that arrest's booking process, he tried to flee, but was caught and subsequently charged with third-agree attempt to escape.

The forklift was recovered near the intersection of South State Highway 24 and West Hampton Road.

Favaro also has a criminal record. On June 10, he was arrested on a Benton County warrant and booked into the jail there.

Davis, too, is a repeat flier in the court system.

In February 2023, he was arrested on a Benton County warrant. Then in September 2023, he was arrested again on two superior court warrants and booked into the Benton County Jail.
