Marching to their own beat

The Lind-Ritzville Marching Band performed Saturday morning during the annual Deutchesfest parade through downtown Odessa. Sporting colorful red and black

uniforms, the band featured numerous instruments. The only other band was the Wilbur-Creston Marching band. Deutchesfest ran from Thursday through Sunday and included Bed Races, Tryke Racing, music, vendors and beer and brats. Several Ritzville-area residents participated in many of the activities, including performing as part of the Oompa's and Ma's German folk music band. For more on Deutchesfest, see Pages 7 and 12.
