Youth win fair livestock awards

Market sale brings in $181,625

RITZVILLE — Several local youngsters took home awards from the annual Wheat Land Communities Fair Aug. 29 through Sept. 1.

In addition to the awards, they also sold their livestock at the annual market sale.

Below, reported youth winners are listed with the people and/or businesses that purchased their livestock (in parentheses):

Champion FFA

Champion 4-H

Swine — Jace Palmer (Akins Fresh Market)

Goat — Addilyn McKay (Sonny’s Tavern)

Reserve FFA

The market sale brought in $181,625 for about 90 animals, fair officials said.
