Three men injured in Sprague crash

Two airlifted from Interstate 90 incident

SPRAGUE — Three North Carolina men were injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday, Aug. 14 on Interstate 90.

The crash at Milepost 240 occurred at 11:18 a.m., the Washington State Patrol reported.

Two of the men — driver Terry A. Fletcher, 70, and passenger Wiley H. Fletcher, 95, both of Granite Falls, N.C. — were airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, the patrol reported. A second passenger, Rickey L. Fletcher, 63, also of Granite Falls, N.C., was transported via ambulance to Deaconess Hospital in Spokane.

According to state patrol troopers, Terry A. Fletcher was driving a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country eastbound when it left the roadway and overturned.

The minivan came to rest on its top off the roadway, the patrol said, noting the cause of the crash was “wheels off roadway.”

Trooper R. Tylock and Sgt. R. Senger responded to the scene, as did a Sprague-based fire crew and LifeFlight.

Investigators have not said whether drugs, alcohol or a mental health issue was a factor.

The vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Rogers Towing.

Charges may be pending against Terry A. Fletcher, the patrol said.
