Judith Blankenship Cogswell

My Mom

Mom didn’t want an obituary so don’t go thinking this is one. Mom lived her life by her own rules and no self respecting daughter would change that now.

She loved, gave and taught her entire life. Maybe you enjoyed fresh homemade yeast rolls at the school cafeteria in your youth. Maybe you learned to camp and cook over a fire in Girl Scouts. Maybe you read a book that she donated to the library in memory of a loved one. Maybe you have eaten one of her pies that she made and donated to Lion Club. Maybe she helped you in elementary school on playground or in the classroom. Maybe you were family and enjoyed many a meal at the kitchen table. Mom shared her heart with everyone.

Mom was made of cast iron but after years of use, sometimes rust still creeps in. And now I hope she has been reunited with family that has gone before.

Please check in on Warren and the grandkids and if you have read this far maybe go to the Ritzville library and make a donation in my mom’s honor.

Love,

A daughter of Judith Elsie Blankenship Cogswell
