‘Beauty and the Beast’ to be staged

ST. JOHN — Three special performances of “Beauty and the Beast” will take the stage this month.

The play presented by Golden House Theater will take place in St. John School, 301 W. Nob Hill Road. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

The cast will feature eight families of actors from ages 4-23.

Performances are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 26; 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27; and 3 p.m., Sunday July 28.

Othello students make honor roll

OTHELLO — Two local students have been named to the honor roll at Spokane Community College.

Armando Gonzalez and Cassandra Gonzalez-Garza, both of Othello, maintained a grade-point average of at least 3.0 during the 2024 spring quarter, which ended in June.
