NOTICE of Application& SEPA Threshold

Determination

Pursuant to RCW 43.21C.080, notice is hereby given that Adams County did on June 21, 2024, made a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS), for the following application.

Project: Stahl Hutterian Brethren Rural Settlement Rezone Request

Description of Proposal: Adams County Building and Planning received an application and SEPA checklist for a request to rezone an area of the Stahl Hutterian Rural Settlement.

An application to change a portion of the current zoning of Parcel Number 2933070100001. The project if approved, will rezone approximately 3.5 +/- acres from Prime Ag (PA) to Rural Settlement (RS). The proposed need for this rezone is to permit the Stahl Hutterian Brethren the ability to expand their current housing within the newly expanded rural settlement zone.

Site Location:

The location of the proposed development is Adams County Parcel no. 2933070100001, 33 E Snowden Rd, Adams County. This property is in Section 7, Township 19, Range 33.

Lead Agency: Adams County Planning Department

Adams County has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after the review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public upon request.

Threshold Determination:

{X} This DNS is issued pursuant to WAC 197-11-340(2), Adams County will not act on this proposal for 14 days from June 26, 2024. A public hearing will be held on July 25, 2024.

Timely comments on this threshold determination must be received no later than 4:00 PM, July 11, 2024, for this DNS
