Couple arrested for burglaries, car thefts

Two Kennewick men still sought by deputies

RITZVILLE — A Kennewick woman and Othello man are in jail after being arrested in connection with burglaries and car thefts.

Miyah Marie Lancaster, 22, of Kennewick, and Dexter Eugene Wallace, 38, were both arrested March 26 and remained in jail at press time.

Lancaster was booked into the Franklin County Jail on charges of second-degree arson, five counts of theft of a motor vehicle, four counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, three counts of first-degree burglary and four counts of first-degree trafficking stolen property.

Wallace was booked into the Benton County Jail for second-degree arson, five counts of theft of a motor vehicle, six counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, three counts of first-degree burglary and four counts of first-degree trafficking stolen property.

According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests occurred simultaneously.

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle crash near Ritzville and found Lancaster had wrecked a stolen vehicle, records show.

Meanwhile, the Washington State Patrol was chasing a stolen vehicle heading north in the Harrington area, records show. The chase ended when the driver, later identified as Wallace, got a vehicle stuck on railroad tracks and tried to flee.

The arrests came just hours after deputies responded to multiple break-ins in the Othello area, records show.

Those reports also include stolen vehicles — one vehicle stolen out of Pasco was found partially blocking Booker Road, near Foley Road. Records show another vehicle was reported stolen from a nearby shop.

Deputies were able to link the stolen vehicles to Wallace and Lancaster, as well as others.

As of press time, Tyler Schneider, 25, and Jaime Moran, 28, both of Kennewick, were still wanted in connection with the crimes.

“Both of these individuals are believed to be involved in the series of burglaries, vehicle thefts, arson, and related crimes,” Sheriff Dale Wagner wrote on social media.

Lancaster has a long record of similar crimes.

Court records show she was arrested in 2022 and 2023 for a variety of similar charges including third-degree theft, taking a motor vehicle without permission, second-degree burglary and third-degree theft, as four counts of failing to comply with court orders.

Unrelated case

In an unrelated case, a third man was arrested in connection with a local burglary.

Joshua Orlo Shoemaker, 33, was arrested March 28 by Moses Lake police and booked into the Benton County Jail for second-degree residential burglary.

Shoemaker was wanted in connection with a Dec. 20 burglary.
