Easter egg hunt draws hundreds

Ritzville celebrates Easter early

RITZVILLE - And they're off!

At 9 a.m. Saturday, March 23, children raced through City Park to gather eggs at the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

A large contingent of parents, grandparents and children participated in the hunt hosted by the local Eagles Aerie.

Sections of the park were cordoned off with yellow tape to separate children into three groups: ages 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12.

At the hunt's conclusion, children and parents lined up at the park shelter and volunteers handed out prizes, including three "golden eggs"- hardboiled eggs painted gold to be exchanged for special prizes.

Before and after the hunt, children posed for photos with the Easter bunny.
