Permit Application
Pursuant to RCW 43.21C.080,
and Adams County Code, you
have been identified as a possible
adjacent property owner to
receive notification of an upcoming
public hearing:
Notice is hereby given that Adams
County did on February 27,
2024, make a Determination of
Non-Significance (DNS) related
to a Conditional Use Permit
application that proposes to establish
and operate a gravel pit
and bedrock quarry for mineral
extraction, occasional crushing
activities, for rock, gravel and
sand products. Activities will
include stockpiles of materials,
stockpiles of preserved topsoil
for reclamation. Storage
of operational equipment for
daily operations and extraction
machinery may include
crushing equipment, screening
equipment, batching equipment,
loaders and excavators.
The proposed site is located on
Tax parcel ID# 2628130300001
Township 16 Range 28 Section
13 and Tax parcel ID#
2629180100001 Township 16
Range 29 Section 18. Both parcels
are located in the County
General Agricultural zoning
district.
ADAMS COUNTY BOARD OF
ADJUSTMENT will conduct a
public hearing at 10:00 a.m.
on April 4, 2024, in the Adams
County Cedar Blvd conference
room, at 445 Cedar Blvd, Suite
A, Othello, WA 99344. This
meeting will also be available virtually
using this link https://meet.
goto.com/669571589 if this date
changes it will be posted in the
Ritzville Journal at least 10 days
prior to the new date if changed.
Public comments will be receive
during the public comment period
for this project via in person,
remotely via the Adams County
GoTo meeting platform or in writing.
All written comments must
be received 24 hours prior to the
meeting and can be submitted
via email through the Adams
county Building and Planning
website or by mail to 449 E
Cedar Blvd Othello WA, 99344.
