RITZVILLE - The Adams County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Daniel Wayne Gill, who is wanted on multiple charges, including eluding law enforcement, obstruction and driving with a suspended license.
According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, a routine check of a suspicious vehicle turned into a high-speed chase on the evening of Wednesday, March 6, as deputies pursued Gill.
At approximately 5:23 p.m., deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious man in a vehicle at the intersection of North Batum and East Rosenoff Roads, records show. Upon arrival, officers reportedly found Gill.
A check of his drivers license showed that it had been suspended, records show, noting Gill refused to obey deputies and fled the scene in his vehicle.
Despite numerous attempts to halt Gill's vehicle, he purportedly continued to drive recklessly, records show.
Gill allegedly utilized a flashlight to blind pursuing deputies before they ended the chase, records show. Later that evening, Gill was spotted seeking assistance for a disabled vehicle. However, upon noticing law enforcement, he reportedly abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, records show. The vehicle impounded as evidence.
The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information on Gill's whereabouts to call 509-659-1122. Tips can be provided anonymously.
