Rita LaPearl Grams Imler was born on Sept. 7, 1933, to Reinhold and Mary Grams in Ralston. She died on Nov. 10, 2023, at the age of 90 after a short illness.

Rita attended Ralston Elementary and graduated from Ritzville High School in 1951. She moved to Spokane and worked as a legal secretary. Rita married John Imler Oct. 2, 1954, and had two children, Becky and Danny. Rita retired from Medical Lake Public School District after decades of work as a building secretary. Rita and John moved to Tacoma where she resided until her passing. Rita was known for her gifted and creative sewing skills.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Mary Grams, her siblings Martha, Albert, Adolph, LaVina, Olive, and Richard, and great granddaughter Sofie Herzog. She is survived by her daughter and husband Becky and Mike Wells, son Danny Imler, grandson and wife Chad Imler and Jessie Sciara, granddaughter and husband Corie and Chad Herzog, four great grandsons Hayden John Herzog, Mason Herzog, Callahan Herzog, and Benson Herzog, and sister Juanita Sharp.

A Memorial Service will celebrate Rita's life at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville, Wash.
