Deputies arrest one man, search for another

OTHELLO – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office as arrested a local man in connection with a burglary.

Isaac Isaias Fuentes-Gomez, was arrested Jan. 16 for residential burglary and first-degree theft following execu-tion of a search warrant, records show.

Fuentes-Gomez was apprehended in the 900 block of East Sagewood Street, records show. Deputies also recov-ered multiple stolen items.

Deputies are search for a second man in connection with the crime – Joshua Hoseph Guiterrez, 28 of Othello.

He is wanted for first-degree theft and residential burglary, records show.

Avista upgrading power lines

Ritzville – Avista is planning to upgrade its power supply system in the downtown area.

According to utility officials, work crews will be upgraded overhead power lines over the next few months.

A schedule was not released.

Avista crews will notify ratepayers when work is being done in their area, officials said.
