Phyllis Jean Oestreich

Phyllis joined her Lord on Jan. 11, 2024. Preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence and Alice (Gillett) Oestreich, her sister Genevieve (Oestreich) Massie, brother Robert (Bob) Oestreich, two nephews, Dwight Massie and Greg Oestreich, two great nephews Derrick Kennedy and Daniel Clark, and a great niece, April Oestreich.

Phyllis was born in Astoria, Ore. on July 12, 1929. She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1947 and the University of Washington School of Nursing with a BS in Nursing in 1952. She attended the University of Pittsburg, graduating with a Masters Degree in Nursing in 1964.

She was a Flight Nurse with the Reserve Air Force for ten years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Her nursing career took her to various locations in the United States. She also worked in various capacities as a registered nurse.

Phyllis has been a member of Turning Point Open Bible Church since 1992. She was part of the Children's Ministry and helped in various capacities in the Ladies Bible Study.

She is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and a growing number of great-great nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, Phyllis requested that donations be made to the Turning Point Youth Outreach (Turning Point Church, Spokane, Washington).

For the past few years, Phyllis has said she has had a great, great life. Her favorite Bible verse was, Colossians 2:10a "...and ye are complete in Him..."
