Schools to close early

RITZVILLE — With heavy snowfall in the region, Lind-Ritzville schools will be closing early today, Thursday, Jan. 17.

District officials said students will be released at 1 p.m. due to the weather.

Practices for middle and high school sports are cancelled, officials said.

However, Gilson Gymnasium will be open from 1:15-2:15 p.m. for middle and high school athletes who want to workout, shoot some hoops or just participate in open gym activities, officials said.

Varsity boys pictures that were scheduled for today have been cancelled; they will be rescheduled, officials said.
