Bronco harriers compete in two meets

SPOKANE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague cross country team competed in two meets over the last week.

On Saturday, Sept. 9, the Broncos were at Shadle Park High School for the annual Highlander Invitational.

Here are the Broncos’ results:

Boys

Middle School (1 mile) – Jayden Stark, 7th-grade, 42nd overall, 7:13.34; Jonathan Nolan, 6th-grade, 51st, 7:54.42; Zachary Heater, 6th-grade, 53rd, 8:16.08; Graham Christianson, 7th-grade, 54th, 8:47.66; Christopher Nolan, 7th-grade, 55th, 8:50.92; and Isaiah Busby, 7th-grade, 57th, 9:22.92.

Freshmen (2.5 miles) – Wyatt Walker, 8th-grade, 62nd place, 18:33.50; and Philip “P.J.” Wilkes, 9th-grade, 82nd, 24:27.30.

Juniors (2.5 miles) – Cameron Christianson, 43rd place, 16:55.49.

Seniors (2.5 miles) – Caleb Heater, 48th place, 18:02.04.

Girls

Middle School (1 mile) – Jacqueline Meyers, 6th-grade, 15th place, 9:13.10; and Emily Nolan, 7th-grade, 17th, 9:45.10.

Freshmen (2.5 miles) – Reagan Korthuis, 8th-grade, 27th place, 21:36.87.

Juniors (2.5 miles) – Savannah Carruth , 38th place, 21:40.30.

Valley Christian

The local runners opened their season Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Valley Christian Jamboree in Spokane Valley.

Bronco eighth-grader Wyatt Walker finished fourth in the middle school boys 1-mile race with a time of 6:39.083.

In the middle school girls, local sixth-grader Finley Curtis finished fourth with a time of 7:19.012.
