District play set for Saturday in Kettle Falls.
RITZVILLE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague girls fastpitch softball team is heading into district play on an eight-game winning streak.
The Bronco girls notched four wins last week, sweeping Reardan and Kettle Falls in doubleheaders.
At home on Tuesday, April 25, the Broncos topped Reardan, 11-1 and 12-0, on senior night.
Then on Saturday, April 29, the topped the Bulldogs, 16-3, in the opener, and 13-11, in the nightcap.
Individual statistics were not reported in either game.
The Broncos wrap up their regular season with a 10-6 record and now turn their attention to district.
The district bracket had yet to be completed by press time.
But the local girls should be seeded mid-pack in the tournament that begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 6, in Kettle Falls.
The district championship game is set for 5:30 p.m.
