Holy Cow!

WASHTUCNA – The Holy Cow Better Beef farm and ranch has partnered with the local school district to provide better meals for students.

Owned by Jerry and Megan Herold, the business has entered into Washtucna School District’s first farm-to-school partnership.

Holy Cow Better Beef has provided the school district with hundreds of pounds of ground beef and roasts. The farm sells grass-fed beef raised off North Benzel Road.

The school cook is working up a menu for how to use the beef.

The partnership also allows the school district to purchase fresh local eggs and produce, officials said.
