Girls win three, lose one

Broncos tied for fourth in NE2B league

RITZVILLE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague girls fastpitch softball team notched three wins, but dropped one game, last week.

On Saturday, April 15, the Bronco girls swept Davenport in a doubleheader, 21-3 and 19-8.

And last Tuesday, April 11, the local girls split with Liberty (Spangle), wining the opener at 3-2, bot losing the nightcap 9-2.

Individual stats were not reported for any of the games.

On Tuesday, the local girls were scheduled to host the Jenkins Cougars from Chewelah.

The newspaper went to press before gametime.

The Bronco girls next take the field Tuesday, April 25, when they host the Reardan Screaming Eagles.

The opening game of that doubleheader starts at 2 p.m., the nightcap at 4 p.m.

As of press time, the local girls were tied with Liberty (Spangle) for fourth in Northeast 2B league standings . Each team is 4-4 so far in league this season.

Undefeated Colfax leads the NE2B with 6 wins in league and no losses, followed by Northwest Christian (Colbert) with 5 wins and no losses.
