Othello girl named Athlete of Week

OTHELLO — A local girl has been named as a Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Athlete of the Week for her achievements on the court.

AnnaLee Coronado, a senior at Othello High School, was recognized for her play in girls 2A basketball last week.

Coronado recently hit the 1000-point milestone.

She was named Second Team All-League her freshman year and First Team All-League her sophomore and junior years.

This year, she was selected as League MVP.

Coronado is also a student-athlete, with plenty of As on her transcripts.

She has committed to playing basketball at Central Washington University this upcoming fall quarter.
