Catherine Louise (VanVleet) Pearce

Jan. 11, 1924 – Sept. 9, 2022

Catherine Louise Principata was born on Jan. 11, 1924, in Helper, Utah. In 1943, she met and married Guy VanVleet while he was serving with the U. S. Army during World War II. The couple relocated to Ritzville where they raised six boys: Dale, Joe, Ronnie, Nathan, Robert, and Terry.

After Guy's passing in 1973, Catherine married Tony Pearce. After the death of her second husband, she moved to Moses Lake and lived with her son, Ronnie. She spent her final days at Columbia Crest where she passed away on Sept. 9, 2022.

Catherine was preceded in death by her two husbands; three sons, Chester Joseph, Ronnie James, and Robert Edwin; and one grandchild, James Morris. She is survived by three children, Dale Morris, Nathan Eugene, and Terry Lynn. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Richard, Timothy, Christina, Jessica, Salina, and Nathanial. Also, surviving are twelve great-grandchildren: Brandon, Kaylee, Skye, Jayden, Leland, Tyler, Devin, Allen, Breanna, Zachery, Brazden, and Dreyton. Catherine is also survived by four great-great grandchildren: Lena, Lucas, Kennedy, and Alice.

Visitation will be held at the Danekas Funeral Home between 10:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. on Friday Sept. 23.

Graveside service will follow at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 P.M.
