Photo from 100 years ago – Ritzville Round-up Boosters in Front of Coeur d'Alene Hotel Reception Draws Large Crowd: The reception given to the teachers of the public schools last Friday evening at the Community Hall was well attended and proved to be a very pleasant occasion. The opening number of the program was a piano solo by Miss Evangeline Just and was very well done. William Just gave two very pleasing violin selections. Marguerite Heinemann sang two songs. She has a sweet voice and is perfectly at home before an audience.

Norman Duncan, left, and his brother, Bruce, tell "Skipper" goodbye as they prepare to leave for Central School. Norman is in the 3d grade this year and Bruce entered the first grade. Both are sons of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Duncan of Ritzville.

Another photo from 25 years ago – Elephant ears have been a popular food treat on the fairgrounds. Jim Duzon, and his wife Joy, of Moses Lake, finished his 11th season in providing the treats to fairgoers at the Wheat Land Communities Fair.
