Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
RITZVILLE – The “American Pickers” reality TV crew is looking for places for its next History Channel season.
American Pickers crews are expected to be in the area through October to film episodes in which their paid “pickers” hunt for valuable antiques.
“They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them,” said a press release seeking suggestions for places to hunt. “As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics.
Along the way, they want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way.”
American Pickers is seeking suggestions about people and places with large collections of antiques and other long-forgotten items.
Adams County and other residents who know someone with a large, private collection or accumulations of antiques or other items can email suggested to [email protected].
Emails should include the writer’s name, phone number, location and a description of the collection with photos.
