Banquet brings alumni home

RITZVILLE – Ritzville High School Alumni/Lind-Ritzville High School Alumni Association will gather for the 115th annual banquet and meeting this Saturday, May 28, in Gilson Gymnasium.

About 230 alumni are expected spend the event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., organization secretary Marilyn Sielaff said, noting Frank Lynch, Class of 1995, will be toastmaster at the festivities.

The event will recognized multiple classes as events the last two years were scrubbed by Gov. Jay Inslee’s coronavirus-related shutdown mandates.

“The 5:30 p.m. banquet will feature the traditional roll call of classes, induction of the incoming class of 2020, 2021 and 2022, and special recognition of the class of 1920, 1921, 1922, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1970, 1971, 1972, and 1995, 1996 and 1997,” Sielaff said.

During the program, the association will induct the classes of 2020-22.

Friday, May 27

• The Classes of 1970 and 1971 will gather at the American Legion Hall at 5 p.m.

• The Class of 1982 will be meeting at 6 p.m. at the Pastime.

• The Class of 1997 will be meeting from 7-9 p.m. at the Hanger at the Airport, then move to the Pastime at 9 p.m.

• The Class of 2002 will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Eagles Aerie.

Saturday, May 28

• The Class of 1962 will be meeting at the Wheat Grower’s Building from 3-5 p.m.

• The Classes of 1970 and 1971 will golf together at 10 a.m. and then meet again from 2-5 p.m. at the American Legion.

• The Class of 1972 will meet at the Eagles, time not reported.

• The Class of 1982 will be meeting at 4 p.m. at Jake’s Cafe.

• The Class of 1997 will golf at 9 a.m., then, from 2-5 p.m. will again gather at the Hanger.

• The Class of 2002 will meet at the Eagle’s Friday evening at 6:30 p.m.
