Eagles place in district track
RITZVILLE — The St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse Eagles had several athletes among the top competitors in the 1B District 7&9 boys meet Wednesday, May 11.
Junior Logan Marconi took second in the 800-meter in 2:13.67 and fourth in the 1,600 meter in 5:06.89.
Senior Ryan Anderson and junior Rory Maloney fisniehd second and third, respectively in both the 110-meter high hurdles and the 300-meter low hurdles. Anderson's times were 18.08 seconds and 45:67; Maloney finished in 18.40 and 46.01.
The four also combined to win the boys 4X400 relay in a time of 3:46.02.
Anderson was also fifth in pole vault, clearing 11-00.
Logan Marconi was third in long jump with 18-07.25.
In triple jump, Maloney was second with 38-08.00 and senior Mathew Logen sixth with 36-11.50.
In discuss, sophomore Landen Miller finished third with a throw of 110-07 and freshman Avery Anderson was sixth with 93-00.
Baseball season ends for Broncos
SPOKANE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna boys baseball season has come to an end.
The Broncos lost to Northwest Christian (Colbert), 11-1, in the first round of the Northeast 2B District playoffs, May 10, ending the Bronco season.
The Broncos finished the season with a record of 8 wins and 14 losses overall (4-13 in league play).
Senior Owen Telecky and junior Chase Galbreath earned Second Team All-League honors on the season.
Eagles fly high in girls pole vault
RITZVILLE — St. John-Endicott/LaCross girls dominated the pole vault event at the 1B District 6, 7 and 9 track meet here May 11.
Senior Sophie Larsen finished second, clearing 8-00, the same height as winner, Katie Boyer, a junior from Pomeroy.
Sophomore Cami Larsen was third, senior Hailee Marty fourth and freshman Emery Molina fifth for the Eagles, all clearing 7-06.00
In other events, senior Ashlynn Archer was second in discusss with 105-10, and sophomore Julie Guske sixth in triple jump with 28-07.00.
