RITZVILLE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtuna fastpitch girls fastpitch softball team lost both games of a doubleheader with Asotin-Anatone, on a blustery afternoon Saturday, April 2.
"We are definitely seeing improvements and need to work on consistency, both offensively and defensively," coach Todd O'Brien said.
The Panther girls took the first game 11-1, on the strength of their pitching, coupled with some missed opportunities at the plate by the Broncos, leaving 7 runners on base in five innings.
Harlee Hennings doubled and Reba Dean singled, for the only 2 Bronco hits.
In the second game, Asotin-Anatone put up 18 runs to just 1 for the Broncos.
The Panthers had 12 hits, including 3 for extra bases, over three innings. Head coach Todd O'Brien commented
Next on the schedule the Broncos travel to Liberty (Spangle) on April 12, and then play at Davenport on April 15.
