Edward D. Bartlett

Sept. 10, 1958 - Feb. 16, 2022

The Lord unexpectedly saw fit to call the soul of Edward D. Bartlett back to heaven on Feb. 16, 2022. Ed was born on Sept. 10, 1958, to Florence and Percy Bartlett in Wadena, Minn.

He was the youngest of four children and the only boy. Moving to Wash. at an early age, he grew up in and around Puyallup. As an adult, he lived in various parts of Wash., to include Parkland, Tacoma, Puyallup, Springdale, Yelm, Spokane Valley, and finally in Washtucna.

Known by most as either Dad, Grumpa, or Ed, he touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. Those lucky enough to be in his life knew that although he had his own hardships, he was quick to prioritize the needs of others over his own. His generous nature, adventurous spirit, edgy sense of humor, and particular set of rules by which he lived made him a man easy to respect, love, and admire.

In his younger adult years, Ed worked as a mechanic at many locations in Western Wash., to include: Worthington Auto (Federal Way), Titus Will (Tacoma), Korum Automotive Group (Puyallup), Richard’s Wrench (Yelm), and Walter Implement (Odessa); however, the highlight of his professional life was his 20-year career as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Fleet Manager.

Ed is survived by his partner, Gina, his four children: Eddie (Béatrice), Michelle, Gregg (Jenn), and Ray (Cierra), his four grandchildren: Cody, Ellie, Soren, and Sascha, his two sisters: Patty (Ron) and Nellie, as well as quite the extended family.

An informal memorial service will be held at Frontier Park in Graham on Sunday, May 1, 11 o’clock in the morning. The family asks that all attending join in honoring Ed by sharing their fondest memories of him.
