Lawmkers to host digital 'town hall'

RITZVILLE – Lawmakers representing the 9th Legislative District will host a digital “town hall” meeting Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Sen. Mark Schoesler, R-Ritzville, and Reps. Mary Dye, R-Pomeroy, and Joe Schmick, R-Colfax, will be available to chat with constituents on a variety of issues from 6:30-8 p.m.

Planned issues to be discussed include Gov. Jay Inlsee’s push for a long-term health care insurance tax, the state’s $8.8 billion reserve budget surplus, the state’s $2.2 billion reserve fund, tax relief, law enforcement reform bills and emergency powers reforms.

Participants will also be able to ask questions.
