Bronco boys & girls basketball digest

RITZVILLE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague basketball teams saw their first action in nearly 2 weeks Friday night, January 21, in a rescheduled matchup with Northwest Christian, at Gilson Gym in Ritzville.

The boys' varsity team lost to the Crusaders 56-51. Hunter Dinkins and Chase Galbreath had 15 points each in the loss. Northwest Christian leaves with an overall record of 9-7, 6-2 in league play.

The girls' varsity team fared better, beating the Crusaders by a score of 52-34. Individual scoring statistics were not reported for the girl's game. The Northwest Christian girls leave with an overall record of 5-9, 2-6 in league play.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague welcomed the St George's Dragons to Gilson Gym, Saturday January 22. The Bronco boys beat the Dragons 56-47. Jayce Kelly led all scorers with 20 points, while Chase Galbreath added 12. The St George's boys leave with a record of 5=8 overall, 1-3 in league play.

The Bronco girls fell to the Dragons 52-43. Zoe Galbreath had 14 points and Dakota Killian had 9 in the loss. The St George's girls leave with a record of 8-6 overall, 4-1 in league play.

Looking ahead the Broncos play at Upper Columbia Academy (Spangle), Wednesday, January 26, in a game rescheduled from January 19th. Then LRS hosts Colfax Friday, January 28, before heading to Asotin January 29. The Broncos play their final scheduled regular season home games Tuesday, February 1 against Liberty (Spangle).

The Bronco girls have a record of 4-8 overall, 2-2 in league play will, while the boys have a record of 8-4 overall, 4-2 in league play.
