RALSTON – The Christmas Potluck and Party will return this year at Ralston Grange No. 943 on Sunday, Dec. 5, after a one-year hiatus.
The event begins at 5 p.m. at the grange hall on state Highway 261 and is open to everyone, grange spokesman Randy Roth said, and it “has been a way for families to kick-off the holiday season for 90 years.”
Those attending the event should bring a potluck dish or two to share, he said.
The grange will provides beverages, rolls and table service.
In addition to the potluck, the party features entertainment provided by those attending, he said.
There will be music, dance, instrumental numbers, children's recitations and more.
“Or anything else children, adults or families would like to perform, he said.
Santa Claus is expected to make a pre-Christmas stop, too, to visit with local children and provide an early present.
“Parents are asked to help him out by providing one small, wrapped gift for each of their children for Santa to give them that evening,” Roth said. “All children will go home with a candy bag filled with special treats.”
There will be prizes throughout the evening.
“Anyone wanting to donate a door prize can bring it with them that evening,” Roth said.
Roth said anyone with questions about the party or potluck can call him at 509-659-0893 or via email at [email protected].
