Patsy was raised on the family farm in Warden, Wash., graduating from Warden High School in 1976. Patsy's love for adventure began with a 4-H trip to Japan while in high school. She obtained her Dental Hygienist degree in 1981 and spent her career in the Seattle area, specializing in periodontal disease.
In 1991 Patsy participated in a church mission trip to Santiago, Chile where she collected and distributed dental supplies to hundreds of children. She creatively taught the children, through the use of puppets, how to properly clean and care for their teeth. Patsy also volunteered with the children's program at New Light Christian Church in the Seattle inner-city area.
In 2002, Patsy's passion for travel took her to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, where she met the love of her life, Delvin "Packa" Hector. Patsy lived on St. Croix from 2007-2010. Packa and Patsy were married in 2018 and resided in Kent, Wash. until their retirement in 2020, then moving to Ritzville, Wash. They enjoyed a Caribbean cruise, and road trips throughout the Pacific NW, Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota. They visited Antigua, Packa's homeland, on several occasions where they enjoyed the beautiful island and spending time with family. The couple enjoyed sporting events, rodeos, concerts, and remodeling and landscaping their homes.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Berg and Ruth Berg, and her nephew, Scott Douglas Berg. She is survived by her husband, Delvin "Packa" Hector, step-children Junior, Jamaul, Jemoy, Delisia, Dequan, Darius, and Danielle, 13 step-grandchildren, siblings Janet Greenwalt, Connie and Nelson Cox, Douglas and Sandi Berg, Teressa Clark, and Daren Berg and her precious nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
