Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
RITZVILLE – Heather Peterson and Phillip Ventress of the Washington State Auditor’s Office met with the Adams County commissioners via video to conduct the exit conference concerning a financial audit completed September 1.
Among the areas audited were highway funding and expenditures from the Coronavirus Relief Fund. The county was determined to be in compliance with state and federal regulations, auditors said.
No findings or deficiencies were reported, auditors said.
“This is a very good report,” Ventress said.
Heather Peterson added, “You guys are so well organized. This is a squeaky-clean audit.”
She went on to explain the amount of organization, particularly in the Offices of Auditor, Treasurer and Clerk of the Board, make the audit process very easy for them.
The full audit report will be released at a later date.
The audit cost the county an estimated $30,200, officials said.
