LRS staff members get recognized for going above and beyond

RITZVILLE – Kathy McAnally, Spanish teacher for Lind-Ritzville High School received the Above and Beyond award from High School Principal Kevin Terris at the May 26 school board meeting.

Terris said McAnnally has gone above and beyond the call of duty by being a major force in communicating learning plans to non-English speaking students and families.

"She also has grown our English Learners program by proctoring the STAMP test and encouraging students to earn the Seal of Biliteracy," Terris said.

Superintendent Don Vanderholm also presented Above and Beyond awards, choosing to recognize business managers Tina Schuler and Dana Telecky for their work serving the students, staff, administration and boards of directors of the cooperative schools "with distinction and integrity."
