COLFAX – Lind-Ritzville-Sprague competed among five teams at a Division Championship with three individuals taking four first-place finishes Friday, May 7.
Sophomore Hayden Melcher took first place in boys 100 Meters at 11.57.
Junior Sydney Kinch took first in girls Pole Vault at 8-00.00, and first place in Long Jump at 15-04.00.
Senior Janaye Wilkie took first in girls High Jump at 5-00.00.
Wilkie took second place in Long Jump at 15-02.50.
Kinch took second in 100 Meters at 13.54.
Melcher took second in 200 Meters at 24.36, and second in Long Jump at 17-06.00. Melcher was also on the 4x100 relay team that took second at 48.33, along with Douglas Morris, Shaw Steinberger and Brock Kinch.
Brynne Nelson, a senior, took second in girls Shot Put at 29-02.50
Brock Kinch, a freshman, took third place in boys 200 Meters at 25.65.
Senior Kylee Longie took third in girls 100m Hurdles at 19.66.
Alana Billingmeier, a junior, took fourth place in girls Javelin at 76-02.
Senior Sam Michels took fourth in boys Javelin at 107-10.
Longie took fifth in girls 100 Meters at 14.43.
Brandon Davis, a sophomore, took fourth in boys 3200 Meters at 12:48.50, and fifth in boys 800 Meters at 2:49.46.
Other top 10 finishes on the boys team are: Kinch, 6th in 100 Meters (12.31); freshman Levi Hoeft, 6th in 400 meters (1:10.67); junior Eli Michels, 6th in 1600 Meters (5:25.21); freshman Caleb Heater, 10th in 1600 Meters (6:09.69); senior Josh Crouse, 7th in Shot Put (29-04.00); Crouse, 8th in Discus (68-11); Heater, 8th in Javelin (71-00); Kinch, 8th in Long Jump (15-06); freshman Blake Earle, 9th in Long Jump (15-01.00); and sophomore Shawn Steinberger, 8th in Long Jump (14-10.00).
Additional top-ten finishes on the girls team are: Longie, 6th in Shot Put (23-02.50); and junior Kaylee Monroe, 8th in Javelin (55-01).
Both the boys and girls teams finished in fourth place. The boys totaled 84 points and the girls, 73.
Asotin took first place among boys teams with 192.5 points, followed by Colfax (150), Liberty (Spangle) (85), and Reardan was in fifth place with 46.5.
Asotin also took first place among the girls teams with 213 points, followed by Colfax (125.5), Liberty (Spangle) (88) and Reardan in fifth place with 25.5.
The Broncos will host the District Championship Thursday, May 13, starting at 2 p.m.
