Kids score big in Easter Egg Hunt

Lions Club hid more than 1,000 eggs in city park

LIND – The Lions Club hid more than 1,000 eggs in the city park for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. The playground in the park was taped off into four categories: ages 1-3, Preschool and Kindergarten, Grades 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and Grades 4th, 5th and 6th. Dispersed among the candy-filled eggs were "Golden Eggs" filled with $10 and $20 dollar bills in each category.

Finding cash prizes inside the eggs were Vera Dahl, 10; Alex Ashley, 6; Dylan Van Slyke, 4; Saylor Wahl, 4; Gabriella Barragan, 9; Adaline Miller, 4; and Jett Labes, 5.

Lions Club spokesman Mike Doyle said they will decide whether or not to hold the Lind Combine Derby this year at their April 14 meeting.

The derby grounds will be the site of a race by Northwest Motorsports Saturday, May 1, with the Lions Club manning the Cook Shack.
