Broncos take a win on the road

RITZVILLE – The Broncos beat Northwest Christian at Colbert 15-13 last week before a BYE Mar. 12.

Lind-Ritzville gained 112 yards in 56 plays to the Crusaders' two yards in 58 plays, with quarterback Chase Galbreath earning 111 yards passing and one yard rushing.

Senior Carson Ayers scored the first touchdown, in the second quarter, on an 11-yard pass. The Crusaders scored next, also on an 11-yard pass.

Third quarter winnings were senior Dakota Lane putting two on the board with a safety and Galbreath scoring a touchdown on a five-yard run.

Heading in to the fourth quarter with a 9-7 lead, the Broncos' Galbreath scored again on a five-yard run.

Freshman Brock Kinch had four receptions for 13 yards, and sophomore Cooper Miller had two receptions for 64 yards. Also receiving were sophomores Hayden Stone 1/13 sophomore Hayden Melcher 2/10.

Senior Jay Harder had five tackles and seven assists.

The Crusaders did intercept two of Galbreath's passes, while the Broncos snagged one of theirs.

The Broncos pushed the Crusaders back nine yards in rushing. Northwest Christian gained 11 yards in the air.

Miller punted five times, with a 46-yard average.

Lind-Ritzville hosts Kettle Falls Friday, Mar. 19.
