Lois Caroline Schwisow Seaburg

1928 – 2021

Lois Caroline Schwisow Seaburg, born March 24, 1928, passed away Feb. 21, at the age of 92. She grew up on a wheat farm in Ritzville.

She graduated from Ritzville High with the class of 1946 before adventuring to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. There she met and married Gene Seaburg, an officer at Fort Lewis. They raised their children while living in Japan, Germany, and France before settling in Lakewood.

Lois enjoyed teaching first and third grade children for twenty years before retiring to take up personal computing so she could pursue her interest in genealogy. She visited Ritzville frequently to visit her Schwisow family and her many friends. We treasure those many friendships.

Lois will be remembered lovingly by her daughter LeeAnn Seaburg Perry, her son Jaime, her grandsons Adam, Nathan, and Mark and her five great-grandchildren.

A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church 2 pm on her 93rd birthday, March 24th, 2021. In lieu of flowers, Lois requested that donations be made to the Quilting Fund at Christ Lutheran Church. (8211 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498). A second memorial will be held in Ritzville this summer when the weather allows us to gather at her favorite sledding hill on the family farm.
