Broncos get ready for first games

RITZVILLE – Right, football players are seen conditioning Wednesday, Feb. 17, in preparation for their first competitions. A Jamboree originally scheduled for Davenport Feb. 20 has been rescheduled for 4 p .m., Feb. 22, in either Davenport or Reardan, depending on athletic field conditions, Whitmore announced Monday, Feb. 15.

Due to weather conditions, practices for football, volleyball and cross country were made optional Monday, with only those who could travel safely to Ritzville asked to attend.

The school year’s first competition is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18, with a high school volleyball game at Davenport. Junior varsity games begin at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6:30 p.m.

The cross-country team is scheduled to compete Feb. 20, at St. George’s. The event begins at 11 a.m.
