Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello

Previous tenant abandoned location unknown to landlord. Wanted vehicle removed from the property. Advised to contact the courts due to the abandonment being a civil matter.

Citizen Dispute - 200 block West 2nd Street Lind

Responded to vehicle being taken from the property without permission. Vehicle was later located by deputies in an area nearby.

January 16

Suspicious - 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Female entering a store crying and with possible signs of an assault. The female left the store with two subjects. Deputies searched area to locate the subjects. Vehicle was traveling to the Tri-City area. Deputies coordinated with Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Adams County.

Agency Assist - 2100 block West July Street Othello

Richland Police Department requested assistance with locating and arresting a subject involved in felony theft.

Abandoned Vehicle - West Highway 26 and South Thacker Road Othello

Report of an abandoned vehicle near the location. Deputies observed a vehicle on private property off the roadway.

Littering - West Herman Road Othello

Two subjects actively dumping garbage near the location. Deputies contacted subjects and all the garbage was cleaned up.

Citizen Dispute - 800 block South Buena Vista Drive Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch to report his vehicle stolen. Deputies contacted the complainant and determined he recently separated from his spouse. The spouse had taken vehicle without his permission. Contacted spouse and facilitated the transfer of property.

Alcohol Offense - 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Deputies responded to an intoxicated male subject outside of residences hitting vehicles. Carmelo Isaiah Martinez, 18, of Othello was arrested for an alcohol related offense.

January 17

Traffic Offense - North 2nd Avenue and East Main Street Othello

Javier Juarez-Garcia, 33, of Othello was arrested, cited, and released for driving in the third degree with a suspended license and without an ignition interlock.

Alarm - 1900 block West Atkinson Road Othello

False alarm.

Abandoned Vehicle - 200 block West 2nd Street Lind

Complainant requested a hulk vehicle form for an abandoned vehicle at the location.

Suspicious 911 - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello

A 911 hang-up at the location. There was no emergency.

Traffic Offense - West I-90 near mile post 201

Calvin J. Corral Brown, 31, of Airway Heights was arrested, cited, and released for a traffic violation.

Traffic Hazard - West I-90 and North Deal Road Ritzville

Deputies removed approximately a dozen tumbleweeds from the roadway.

Suspicious - 600 block South Danielle Road Othello

Deputies responded to a suspicious person call. Advised female in the property who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. Deputies detained a subject at the property.

January 18

Littering - West Hatton Road and South LeMaster Road Othello

Deputies observed furniture that had been dumped on the shoulder of the roadway at the location. Public works was contacted for the removal of the furniture.

Citizen Dispute - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Deputies responded to citizen dispute and advised the incident was verbal only, with nothing criminal reported.

Suspicious - 800 block South Schaake Roadd Othello

Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious call. Deputies contacted the complainant who advised of a 4-wheeler on private property.

Malicious Mischief - 600 block South Drury Lane Othello

Deputies documented graffit at the location.

January 19th, 2021

Vehicle Theft - 2100 block West Mitchell Lane Othello

Dispatch responded to vehicle theft. Dispatch was advised of the vehicle being towed by a different agency several hours earlier. Deputies contacted the complainant and the vehicle was signed as stolen.

Fraud - 1200 block West Hatton Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a reported attempted fraud over social media. Contacted complainant advised of a scam attempt, wanted others to be aware.

Suspicious - East State 21 & East Davis Road Ritzville

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle with no license plates. While deputies were on scene, subject arrived with vehicle had broken down and he was there to repair it. Subject provided documentation showing he had recently purchased the vehicle.

Abandoned Vehicle - 800 block South Steele Road Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch to request junk vehicle affidavit for 8 vehicles on her property. Deputies contacted the complainant and agreed to meet at a later date.

Animal Problem - West Bench Road Othello

Dispatch advised of several cows on the roadway. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate any cows.

Medical - 2000 block West Hampton Road Othello

Deputies were dispatched and arrived on scene to a medical call. EMS assisted in transporting a female subject to Othello Community Hospital.

Suspicious - 1500 block East Weber Road Ritzville

Complainant advised a vehicle was driving by his barn. Deputies contacted subjects who advised they were not at the location.

Agency Assist - West Hatton Road and South Roxboro Road Othello

Deputies were dispatched to an agency assist at the location in removing a subject who was trespassing in a train cab. Subject will be cited for trespassing.

January 20

Agency Assist - West highway 26 near mile post 29 Othello

WSP requested assistance with a report of a baby having difficulties breathing. Deputies contacted the father and infant and she was well, went to Othello Community Hospital.

Suicide Attempt - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello

Deputies dispatched to a suicide attempt at the location. Deputies contacted a female made suicidal statements and acts. She was transported to Othello Community Hospital via ambulance. Deputies went to location due to the spouse making suicidal statements. Deputies seized a firearm for safekeeping. Mental health later assessed both subjects.

Lockout - 800 block South Meadowlark Lane Othello

Dispatch advised of a vehicle lockout request at the location. Deputies arrived on scene and assisted with opening the vehicle.

Suspicious - West Bench Road and South Taylor Road Othello

An abandoned vehicle was observed at the location. Deputies made contact with registered owner and made them aware of the vehicle’s location.

Traffic Offense - South McKinney Road and South Thacker Road Othello

Athena A. Brick, 36, of Othello was arrested for a suspended license. Released from the scene pending citation by mail for the driving related offense.

Littering - North Dewald Road and East Sackman Road Ritzville

Complainant advised of possible narcotics at the location. The syringes at location appeared to be there a long period of time. Deputies took custody of the syringes and transported them to a health facility for disposal.

Suspicious - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Complainant advised of loud explosions near the canal, south of the location. Deputies searched the area and did not hear the noise.

Malicious Mischief - 2200 block West Justin Place Othello

Complainant advised of tagging on her fence at the location. The complainant noticed the tagging approximately one week prior, but didn’t report it until today.

Agency Assist - South highway 395 near mile post 87 Ritzville

Complainant advised of Stranded vehicle. Deputies arrived in the area and were unable to locate the stranded vehicle.

Agency Assist - West I-90 near mile post 229 Ritzville

Complainant advised of a trooper requesting an additional unit at the location. Deputies responded and assisted the trooper with the investigation. Deputies later assisted with serving a search warrant on a vehicle.

January 21

Alarm - 1800 block North Seivers Road Ritzville

Deputies were advised of a residential burglary alarm at the location. Contact with the responsible was made and he advised there was no emergency.

Malicious Mischief - 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Investigation is on going into graffiti at the location.

Court Detail - 400 block East Main Street Othello

Dispatch advised of deputy presence at district court. Deputies arrived on scene until no longer needed.

Fraud - 1600 block West Gillis Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a fraud reported at the location. Deputies made contact and advised of giving out personal information to an online source that can likely be a scam. Complainant was advised to monitor his credit for possible future fraud.

Theft - 1100 block South Schaake Road Othello

Complainant reported a theft of windmill parts near the location. Deputies responded and documented the scene. Investigation is ongoing.

Animal Problem - 600 block South Andes Road Othello

Complainant advised of a neighbor’s dog killing and taking one of her chickens from the location. Deputies contacted the owner of the dog.

Theft - South Booker Road and West highway 26 Othello

Complainant advised of wire being stripped and taken from the location. The theft occurred sometime in the past three weeks. Investigation is ongoing.

January 22

Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch requesting assistance with being treated for depression. Arranged for medical transport to local medical center for treatment.

Vehicle Theft - 2400 block West highway 26 Othello

Reported theft of motor vehicle from the location, a GMC pickup taken by unknown subjects during the night. Investigation is on-going.

Vehicle Prowl - 100 block East 3rd Street Lind

Complainant advised of a vehicle prowl occurring sometime the night prior. Advised a vehicle was broken into but no items were taken.

Malicious Mischief - 600 block South Diana Lane Othello

Report of malicious mischief at the location. Deputies documented graffiti. Investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious - 700 block South Reynolds Road Othello

Report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the location. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

Vehicle Theft - 2500 block West highway 24 Othello

Complainant advised of two four-wheelers being stolen from their shop yard at the location. The suspect(s) cut the chain link fence and pushed the four wheelers out of the fenced area. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Accident - West McManamon Road Othello

Complainant advised of a single vehicle, non-injury collision at the location. Deputies responded and conducted a collision investigation.

Agency Assist - 1300 block North highway 261 Othello

Dispatch advised Ritzville Police Department of an assault near the location. It was determined no assault had occurred.

January 23

DUI - West highway 24 and South McKinney Road Othello

While on patrol, deputies contacted a passenger vehicle for a moving violation. Sergio Sosa-Basurto, 25, of Othello was arrested for driving impaired and later booked into jail for the driving offense.

Traffic Hazard - West Rainier Road Othello

Deputies were dispatched to a traffic hazard call at the location. Deputies searched the area and did not locate any vehicles.

Juvenile Problem - South Wind Hill Lane Othello

While on patrol deputies contacted a vehicle at the location. The vehicle was occupied with six juveniles. The juveniles were on private property and parents/guardians were contacted. All juveniles were released to their guardians.

Narcotics - 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

While on patrol, deputies conducted a traffic stop at the location. The driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Narcotics were located incident to arrest. The driver was arrested, cited, and released from the scene.

Agency Assist - West I-90 near mile post 212 Ritzville

WSP requested deputies check on a trooper not answering status at the location. Deputies responded, trooper had poor radio signal.

Agency Assist - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Dispatcher from complainant agency requested assistance with locating a possible fire near the location. The owner was found attempting to burn remnants of a downed tree. The property owner agreed to extinguish the fire.

Suspicious - 800 block South Reynolds Road Othello

Complainant advised of an unattended vehicle near the fair grounds. Complainant later called and advised there was no response needed.

Juvenile Problem - 100 block South Church Street Washtucna

Deputies were advised of a juvenile problem at the location. Her daughter had left the house without permission. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the daughter at the residence.

Abandoned Vehicle - 2100 block West June Street Othello

Complainant advised of a vehicle being left for several days on at the location. Deputies contacted the registered owner and it was removed.

Suspicious - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

While on patrol, deputies observed a vehicle at the park after hours of darkness. Deputies contacted two subjects and they advised they were planning on sleeping at the park overnight.

Nuisance/Noise - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Deputies were dispatched to the location for a noise complaint. Deputies contacted a resident and he turned the music off.

January 24

Assault - West I-90 near mile post 230 Ritzville

Complainant advised of a possible domestic at the location. The vehicle was located in Ritzville, and it was determined no domestic occurred.

Agency Assist - 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Deputies were dispatched to an agency assist call at the location. The agency advised of possible young children left alone at a residence. Deputies made contact with residents who advised the children and mother didn’t live at the location. Deputies were unable to locate the children.

Suspicious - 300 block South Reynolds Road Othello

Deputies responded to the location for a reported suspicious person knocking on a window of the residence at early hours of the morning. Deputies arrived and checked the immediate area. Contact was made with the responsible and complainant to advise of past occurrence’s under similar circumstances.

Burglary - 700 block South McKinney Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a cold burglary at the location, with items reported missing from inside the residence.

Domestic - 100 block South Church Street Washtucna

Dispatch advised of a domestic at the location. Deputies arrived and determined a subject made multiple suicidal statements. Deputies transported the subject to East Adams Rural Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Malicious Mischief - 2100 block West Hampton Road Othello

Complainant contacted law enforcement to report graffiti on farm related equipment. Deputies responded to the area, locating the reported markings.

Medical - 600 block North “S” Street Lind

Deputies checked on a subject who was reported by Life Alert to have an unknown medical emergency. Subject denied contacting Life Alert and did not need other assistance.
