Ritzville Chamber to host annual meeting Monday

RITZVILLE – The Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual meeting virtually Monday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m.

Meetings are open to the public, and a meeting link will be posted on the chamber’s website for anyone to attend. Those planning to attend can also send an email to [email protected] to receive the meeting link.

Along with regular business, the chamber will be approving the annual budget and electing officers. Four positions on the Board of Directors will be expiring in January. Open positions are for President, Vice President, and Member at Large. Anyone interested in joining the board is asked to email the chamber at the above address. Ballots will be sent out in the form of a survey this week.

The current board is comprised of President Karen Cady, Vice-President Mary Chamberlain, Treasurer Becky Main and Secretary Phyllis Wormsbecker.

The chamber is also looking for volunteers for a variety of events.

The chamber meets once a month, and works with the business community to assist with networking and promotion; as well as coordinating community events throughout the year.

“Restrictions on business openings and events continue to impact our community, but we will remain flexible and willing to help find creative ways to provide activities in our town,” a chamber spokesperson said. “If you have ideas, or need help with coordination of events, please reach out to us and we will assist you as much as possible.”

Chamber members will have opportunities in 2021 to attend workshops, training and informational sessions to assist businesses in surviving and thriving. The resources are provided free of charge to members.

Members are also provided a discount to be listed in the annual Ritzville Tourism Guide, produced in the spring.

Upcoming chamber events include a Sweeheart Shop in February and a St. Patty’s Day Fundraiser in March.
