City Tackles 3 Problems
Parking, Liquor Issues
Debated
City councilmen decided Tuesday night to:
1. “Stick by their guns” on recent changes in traffic regulations, despite the plea of several church representatives for angle parking;
2. Adopt a “hands off” policy regarding serving of liquor by the drink in a proposed private club, after Attorney George H. Freese told them they couldn’t do anything anyway; and,
3. Paved the way for future growth along the southwestern end of the state highway by ordering Water Superintendent Earl Colwell to prepare a list of materials needed to extend water mains from Adams along the highway to the city limits.

Hoof Beat: News from Ritzville Grade School
By Rosemary Scheel
Merry Christmas everyone! The K-6 concert went very well. Great job everybody! The great participation in the toy drive was very much appreciated. They will really help the less fortunate in our community. The Bronco Trot that the grade school had on Wednesday was excellent! Everyone that participated was rewarded with a candy cane.
