DECEMBER 4
Traffic Offense - West Spur Lane Road and South Saddle Road Othello
During a traffic stop at the location, the driver was found to be suspended in the 3rd degree. 43-year-old Charletta Braziel of Othello was arrested, cited, and released from the scene.
Suicide Attempt - 100 block West May Avenue Washtucna
Complainant advised her boyfriend took a large dose of prescription narcotics and left the area on foot. Deputies attempted to locate the subject in the nearby hills. Later, the subject returned home and was transported the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Animal Problem - 600 block South Hays Road Othello
Report of dogs at large near the location. Deputies contacted the owner of the dogs and advised this would be their final warning and they would be cited the next time their dogs are called in.
Suspicious - 800 block South Grace Lane Othello
Report of a dark colored vehicle stopping in the driveway at the location, and request for increased area patrols in the area.
Suspicious - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello
Complainant reported hearing a loud bang and observing a piece of wood at their doorstep. Deputies found no other suspicious activity in the area.
DECEMBER 5
Agency Assist - East I-90 near milepost 232 Ritzville
Dispatch advised of a wrong way vehicle at the location. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.
Agency Assist - East Birch Avenue and North Columbia Street Ritzville
Dispatch advised of a suicidal subject at the location. Deputies assisted the Ritzville Police Department until assistance was no longer needed.
Agency Assist - North Highway 395 near milepost 75 Ritzville
Deputies assisted the Washington State Patrol with a roll-over collision involving an armored truck.
Suspicious - 900 block South Johnson Road Othello
Complainant contacted dispatch to report an unknown subject seen at the location.
Suspicious - 800 block South Buena Vista Drive Othello
Report of an unknown vehicle parked near the location. Deputies were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description.
Suspicious - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello
Report of a suspicious vehicle driving in the area of the location. Deputies contacted the vehicle and they were visiting friends at the trailer court.
Agency Assist - 2100 block West May Street Othello
Medical staff contacted dispatch requesting law enforcement attempt contact with a subject at the location. Deputies contacted the subject and advised of emergent contact with the hospital was required.
Suspicious - 700 block South Reynolds Road Othello
Complainant reported a vehicle stopped in a nearby field with its lights shining into their residence. Deputies determined the vehicle departed the area.
Agency Assist - West Highway 26 and West Moon Road Othello
Deputies discovered a vehicle off the roadway near the location, and determined the vehcile was not occupied. Deputies stood by until WSP arrived on scene.
DECEMBER 6
Suspicious - 2300 block West Sherman Lane Othello
Complainant reportd an unidentified vehicle in their driveway.
Traffic Hazard - 2300 block West Bench Road Othello
Loose cattle on the roadway near the location.
Suspicious - 400 block South LeMaster Road Othello
Complainant reported items left outside at the location. Deputies observed a stove on private property.
Animal Problem - North Snyder Road and East Griffith Road Ritzville
Cattle near the roadway.
Weapon Offense - West April Street Othello
Report of gunshots to the north west of the location. Deputies waited in the area in an attempt to hear additional gunshots.
Hazardous Condition - West Cunningham Road and South Lind-Hatton Road Othello
Report of a semi-truck stuck on the railroad crossings at the location. The semi had lost its fuel tank and become high-centered on it. The semi was able to remove the tank and move off the railroad crossing safely. No collision occurred, the brackets on the tank failed and it fell off the truck.
Domestic - 200 block East 3rd Street Lind
Report of a domestic at the location. Deputies determined no assault occurred.
Fail to Register - 100 block East 3rd Avenue Ritzville
Deputies located and arrested 20-year-old Owen Smith for failing to register as a sex offender. Smith was booked into the Adams County Jail.
DECEMBER 7
Suspicious - 900 block South Taylor Road Othello
Complainant reported an unidentified subject shining a blue colored laser into their residence. Deputies located a small purse burning in the driveway. The complainant refused to cooperate and requested law enforcement leave the property.
Welfare Check - 1700 block West Martinez Lane Othello
Complainant requested assistance to check on a male subject, and deputies determined he was home alone. The subject advised he did not want help or to speak with law enforcement. Deputies advised the complainant to return later in the day after letting the male subject calm down.
Citizen Dispute - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello
Complainant contacted dispatch to report subject at the residence armed with a knife. Deputies responded and determined the complainant was ‘annoyed’ with her older sibling serving a period of time on electronic home monitoring. Deputies spoke with all parties and brokered a peaceful separation for the morning.
Citizen Dispute - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello
Deputies responded to a verbal domestic at the location. All subjects advised nothing physical occurred and agreed to separate.
Theft - 900 block West Cunningham Road Othello
Deputies contacted a complainant who advised of an on-going issue with litter blowing onto property from the neighboring property. Complainant advised large amounts of magazines were deposited along the roadway. Deputies determined the magazines were likely stolen from the victim’s mailbox. The victim was contacted and advised they would alleviate the litter blowing issue and would advise if anything of value was taken from the mailbox.
Fraud - 600 block South Canal Road Othello
Complainant requested phone contact regarding a fraud.
Alarm - 1800 block North Seivers Road Ritzville
False alarm.
Traffic Accident - West McManamon Road and South Morgan Lake Road Othello
Report of a vehicle versus deer collision near the location. Deputies were unable to locate any signs of a collision.
Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello
Complainant reported her garbage can missing, and advised of ongoing issues with the landlord. Deputies contacted a subject who advised the bill was not being paid for.
DECEMBER 8
Agency Assist - 200 block South 3rd Avenue Othello
Othello Police requested assistance with a reported attempted burglary at the location. Deputies were unable to locate any subjects matching the description provided.
Vehicle Theft - 600 block South Diana Lane Othello
Report of a stolen vehicle from the location. Investigation is ongoing.
Trespassing - 400 block South Main Street Washtucna
Complainant advised of subjects trespassing on his property two nights prior. Unknown vehicle and subjects involved. Complainant’s fence had separated from the post with minimal to no damage. Investigation is ongoing.
Traffic Hazard - West Highway 26 Othello
Deputies noticed and removed debris in the roadway at the location.
Suspicious - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello
Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle parked near her driveway. Deputies advised of missionaries in the area.
Suicide - 1700 block West Martinez Lane Othello
Deputies were dispatched to a suicide call at the location. After investigation it was determined the deceased had committed suicide.
Domestic - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello
Report of a domestic in progress at the listed location. Deputies contacted both subjects, who advised of a verbal argument.
DECEMBER 9
Suspicious - South Lucy Road and West Foley Road Othello
Report of a traffic collision at the location, involving a single vehicle off the roadway with the driver passed out behind the wheel and vehicle in gear. Deputies contacted the driver, who advised he was sleeping due to fatigue and did not show signs of impairment. No collision occurred and subject left the scene.
Fraud - 100 block West 6th Street Lind
Report of fraudulent phone calls. Complainant stated this is an ongoing issue, and was told to not share personal information when receiving similar phone calls.
Alarm - 1800 block North Seivers Road Ritzville
False alarm.
Suspicious - 700 block South Sara Lane Othello
Complainant reported observing subjects shining flashlights south of his residence. Deputies observed a vehicle parking at the incident location, but did not observe any obvious criminal activity.
DECEMBER 10
Malicious Mischief - 600 South Diana Lane Othello
Deputies noted new blue colored markings on an abandoned residence and documented the scene.
Agency Assist - North 10th Avenue Othello
Othello Police requested assistance with an active foot pursuit with three subjects. Deputies searched the area as requested. One male juvenile subject was taken into custody by the city officer.
Death Investigation - 200 block Apple Alley Lane Hatton
Report of a non-responsive subject at the location. Deputies arrived on scene and it was determined the subject was deceased. A death investigation was conducted and Danekas Funeral Home removed the body. A report will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
Welfare Check - 1100 North Bauer Road Ritzville
Complainant requested a welfare check on a subject residing there, due to finding out from family the subject had been ill. Deputies attempted contact at the residence and no one was home. An attempt will be made at a later time.
Agency Assist - 2100 block West April Street Othello
WSP requested assistance locating a vehicle possibly near the area that was in a recent hit and run collision. Deputies were unable to locate any vehicles matching the description provided.
Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello
Complainant requested a phone call. Deputies called and the complainant stated she didn’t speak English and wanted to speak with someone who spoke Spanish. Deputies advised her there was no one that did. Complainant advised she would call back on another day.
Juvenile Problem - 700 block South Wind Hill Lane Othello
Complainant advised her son had run away from the location. The family was able to locate the juvenile on snap chat in Kennewick. Deputies contacted the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) providing a possible address for the juvenile. KPD later called and advised the juvenile had been located, deputies notified the family and they drove to Kennewick to pick up the juvenile.
Citizen Assist - West Bench Road and South Broadway Avenue Othello
Report of a collision at the intersection of West Bench Road and South Broadway Avenue, in the round-about. WSP was advised. Deputies checked the occupants of the vehicle to ensure there were no injuries and cleared.
Citizen Assist - 2100 block West April Street Othello
Complainant wanted to talk to a deputy regarding suspicious subjects near his residence. Complainant requested more patrols to the area. Deputies advised the complainant to call when he observed suspicious activities occurring.
Animal Problem - East Wellsandt Road Ritzville
Report of an injured deer in the middle of the roadway. Deputies observed the deer had substantial bodily injuries and appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. No vehicle was observed in the area. The deer was dispatched and arrangements were made for the deer to be salvaged.
Medical - 600 block South Wagon Road Othello
Complainant requested medical assistance for a subject that had consumed multiple pills. Medics and deputies provided assistance. Medics transported a female subject to a local medical center for stabilization and follow-up care by a mental health professional.
