Patricia (Pat) Louise Martin Caldwell

Patricia (Pat) Louise Martin Caldwell, our beloved Mother and Nana went into the arms of the loving Lord on October 24, 2020. She was born to Michael and Eva Martin on November 27, 1944 in Walla Walla, Washington.

Pat grew up in the Walla Walla area, where she met Pete Caldwell. She married Pete on March 23, 1962 and together they had 4 children; Chad, Michele, Kim, and Piper. They raised their family of 4 in the Ritzville-Benge area, where she was mostly a stay at home mom. She cooked meals for the harvest crew for several years and drove school bus for the Benge School District. Pete and Pat moved to the Palouse area around 1989 to Oakesdale, where they later divorced. She later resided in Rosalia, where she was able to see her youngest grandchildren, Samara and Eva daily. Pat moved to Alderwood Manor in Spokane, where she lived the remainder of her years.

Pat loved gardening and had a green thumb. She could make any plant survive for forever! She loved animals, her dogs and horses, but especially her cats, who were all very spoiled. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her son, Chad Caldwell of Selah, grandchildren Seath and Sheve. Daughter, Michele (Todd) Oestreich of Ritzville, grandchildren Haley (Johnny) and Skyler (Maleah). Daughter, Kim (Jim) Leonard of Spokane, grandchildren Sha and Adi. Daughter, Piper (Jake) Dickinson of Rosalia, grandchildren, Samara and Eva. Sister, Shirley Lehr of Portland and brother, Bill Martin of Hillsboro.

There will be a private family grave side service at a later date in Walla Walla, Washington where she will be laid to rest with her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the "Walk to End Alzheimer's Association" in her name.
