September 5

Suspicious - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Complainant advised of a possible burglary at the location, stating the front door of the residence was broken down and noises could be heard inside. Deputies contacted a subject who resided at the location. Subject advised the door was broken and will be fixed soon.

Suspicious - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle at the location occupied by two subjects. Deputies advised two subjects the park is closed after dark, and they cleared from the location.

Agency Assist - East I-90 near milepost 199 Ritzville

WSP requested assistance at the location. A trooper was on scene apprehending multiple subjects with no cover units. Deputies responded to the scene and assisted with securing the vehicle.

Medical - 700 block South O’Brian Road Othello

Complainant advised of a possible overdose at the location. Othello police responded to the location to assist with the call for service.

Domestic - 2100 block West Mitchell Lane Othello

Complainant advised of a domestic at the location, and advised she was assaulted. Salvador Velazquez-Torres was arrested and booked into jail for Attempted Murder 1st Degree, Rape 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, and Interfering with the Reporting of Domestic Violence.

Agency Assist - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Dispatch advised of an agency assist request at location to contact the registered owner of a stolen vehicle. Contact was made with family members and they advised they would pass on the message.

Traffic Accident - West McManamon Road Othello

Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle roll over at the location. Upon arrival, the driver had fled the scene. Investigation is ongoing.

Domestic - 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident at the location. Subjects were contacted and advised of a verbal dispute only. There were no signs of an assault.

Theft - 2800 block West Bench View Lane Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a theft that occurred last month at the location.

Malicious Mischief - 2000 block West Horacio Lane Othello

Complainant advised of tagging of one of his reefers, and wanted the incident documented.

Lost/Found Property - 500 block South Lucy Road Othello

A driver license was collected from the location and mailed back to the owner.

Harassment - 2400 block West Bench Road Othello

Deputies contacted a complainant who advised of unwanted calls from an unknown subject searching for a co-worker. The subject was advised to block the phone number and informed of court orders.

Agency Assist - East Scooteny Street and South 3rd Avenue Othello

Othello Police Department requested assistance with a firearm related offense occurring near the location. Deputies assisted with a canine track and perimeter security.

September 6

Domestic - 100 block Apple Alley Lane Hatton

Dispatch advised of a domestic in progress at the location. After contacting both parties, Teodulfo Hernandez-Contreras was arrested and booked into jail for Malicious Mischief 3rd Degree DV.

Suspicious - South Morgan Lake Road Othello

Deputies arrived in the area and located a subject laying on the ground wearing an industrial respirator and complaining of C.O.P.D., but refusing medical aid. The subject was given a courtesy ride to his vehicle. The subject has made similar reports in the past that never have corroborating evidence.

Alarm - 1300 block North Wahl Road Ritzville

Complainant advised a burglary alarm appeared to have been set off by a pet, as deputies were en route to the location.

Suspicious - West Cunningham Road and South Lemaster Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a suspicious call at the location. Deputies contacted a subject who was walking safely off the road.

Citizen Assist - 100 block East 2nd Street Lind

Complainant advised the building he owns was being tunneled under. He believed there may be buried treasure under the concrete in the building. The complainant had jack hammered several holes in the floor to try and find the tunnels. Deputies did not see signs of unauthorized entry into the building.

Trespassing - 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a trespassing call. Deputies contacted a subject at the location who the complainant allowed in the trailer earlier in the day.

Citizen Dispute - 600 block West Vulcan Street Lind

Complainant advised she was confronted by a subject who was upset over how fast she was driving on the gravel road. The subject advised he was tired of the complainant’s family speeding down the road. Both parties were advised to be courteous not take actions that escalate the situation.

Suspicious - South Danielle Road Othello

Report of hearing fireworks.

Juvenile Problem - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello

Complainant advised of juveniles smoking at the location. Deputies were unable to locate any juveniles.

September 7

Juvenile Problem - 2100 block West May Street Othello

Dispatch advised of a runaway juvenile at the location. Complainant advised the juvenile was now home, but they wanted to document the incident.

Suspicious - 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Complainant reported a subject in the area. Complainant wanted the incident documented as the subject is trespassed from her trailer.

Welfare Check - East Schoessler Road and East I-90 Ritzville

Complainant advised of a subject in a white vehicle possibly going to jump from the overpass. Deputies were unable to locate any subjects or white vehicles in the area.

Agency Assist - South Highway 395 near milepost 72 Lind

Dispatch advised of a multi vehicle collision near the location. Deputies assisted WSP in removing injured from vehicles, identifying the vehicles involved in collision and traffic control.

Traffic Hazard - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Complainant advised of a tree in the roadway causing a traffic hazard. Public Works Road Department was contacted.

Agency Assist - North Highway 21 and East Presnel Road Lind

Deputies assisted WSP with a reported injury collision at the location.

Traffic Accident - West Koch Road Ritzville

Dispatch advised of a two vehicle non-injury collision at the location. Deputy was unable to locate any vehicles at the location.

Traffic Accident - East Providence Road and North Marcellus Road Washtucna

Dispatch advised of a two-to-three vehicle collision at the location. Deputy responded and conducted a collision investigation.

Animal Problem - 800 block South Garza Road Othello

Dispatch advised of an animal problem call at the location. Deputies observed four dead chickens. Subject believed neighbors dogs attacked the chickens. It was determined not to be the neighbor’s dogs as they were secured and another dog was out of town.

Abandoned Vehicle - West McManamon Road and West Sutton Road Othello

Complainant requested information on towing a vehicle from their private property. Complainant was advised they seek advice from legal counsel as it may be a landlord/tenant matter.

Agency Assist - North Highway 261 near milepost 54 Ritzville

Dispatch advised of a possible injury collision at the location. Upon arrival, WSP was already on scene and didn’t need assistance.

Assault - 200 block 2nd Avenue Hatton

Dispatch advised of an assault call at the location. Brittany Baldwin was arrested and booked into jail for Assault 4th Degree DV.

Juvenile Problem - East Gun Club Road Ritzville

Complainant advised of three juveniles playing on the overpass and by the tracks. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate any juveniles on the overpass.

Suspicious - 2300 block West Bench Road Othello

Anonymous complainant reported hearing gunshots in the area about 20 minutes prior to reporting. Deputies checked the area and did not locate/hear any gunshots.

Citizen Assist - 600 block South Eagle Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a runaway juvenile at the location. Deputies were advised the juvenile was in a different city without permission. The subject advised she would go pick him up and did not want the juvenile to be entered as a runaway.

Runaway Juvenile - 2100 block West May Street Othello

Deputies contacted a complainant who advised a juvenile was away from home without permission. The juvenile later returned home.

Missing Person - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Complainant reported his adult son as a missing person. Family later advised the subject returned home.

September 8

Parking Problem - West Cunningham Road and South Andes Road Othello

Complainant advised of a trailer parked near the location. Deputies attempted contact with the responsible.

Welfare Check - West Bench Road and South O’Brian Road Othello

Complainant reported a subject lying down on the roadway. Deputies gave the subject a courtesy ride to Columbai Basin Health Association.

Trespassing - 800 block South McKinney Road Othello

Deputies contacted a complainant at the location who wanted a subject to be trespassed from a property he leases. The subject was trespassed.

Arson - East Danekas Road Ritzville

Complainant reported a fire at the location and believed it to be arson. The chief complaint was the fire went both directions from a pole. Deputy was unable to locate any obvious signs of ignition or other evidence indicating an arson.

Malicious Mischief - 2100 block West Bench Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into graffiti at the location.

Suspicious - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Dispatch advised of a vehicle prowl at the location. Deputies arrived on scene, no vehicles were entered or damaged. Only a suspicious male observed who was bleeding. Investigation is ongoing.

Theft - North Hills Road and East Arlt Road Ritzville

Investigation is ongoing into a theft of a road sign at the location.

Suspicious - South Reynolds Road and West Foley Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a suspicious vehicle call at the location. Deputy was not able to locate any vehicles described.

Citizen Assist - 200 block East 3rd Street Lind

Complainant requested assistance with obtaining visitation with her grandkids, and was advised to contact the courts or legal counsel for assistance.

Traffic Hazard - 600 block South Andes Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a traffic hazard call at the location. Deputy was not able to locate the vehicle.

Trespassing - South Highway 17 and West Sutton Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a trespassing call at the location. Deputy was not able to locate the vehicle described.

Suspicious - 700 block South Subset Acres Road Othello

Dispatch advised of suspicious subjects near the location. Complainant advised of subjects wearing blue jumpsuits at the rear of the property. Complainant has a history of reporting incidents that there was evidence didn’t happen. Nothing criminal observed.

September 10

Traffic Hazard - West Bench Road Othello

Complainant advised of a traffic hazard near the location. Delay in response time. No traffic hazards were observed in the area.

Traffic Hazard - South Booker Road and West Lee Road Othello

Complainant advised of a traffic hazard at the location. Delay in response time due to priority investigation. No additional reports of the vehicle described were received.

Malicious Mischief - 700 block East Booth Avenue Washtucna

Complainant advised her vehicles tires were slashed near the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious - 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Complainant advised of suspicious juveniles in the area of the storage sheds where tagging has occurred. Deputies did not locate anyone.

Weapon Offense - West McManamon Road Othello

Complainant advised hearing gunshots near the location. Deputies unable to locate any subjects and no gunshots were heard.

Suspicious - 200 block East 6th Street Lind

Dispatch advised of a man yelling near the location. Deputies arrived in the area and were unable to locate any criminal activity.

September 11

Animal Problem - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Dispatch advised of loose cattle at the location. Subjects assisted with getting cattle into a corral until owner determined. Owner later contacted dispatch to recover cattle.

Accident Other - 1000 block West Harder Road Ritzville

Complainant advised of a three-year-old child being struck by a vehicle at the location. The child was flown to Spokane for further treatment. At this time the injuries do not appear to be life threatening. Investigation is ongoing.

Hazardous Condition - 500 block North Main Street Washtucna

Complainant advised someone had dumped a large amount of fuel on the ground at the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Hazard - East Rosenoff Road Ritzville

Complainant advised a tree branch was in the roadway causing a traffic hazard at the location.

Citizen Dispute - 700 block South Lucy Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a citizen dispute at the location. A subject was later trespassed from the location.

Domestic - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a citizen dispute call at the location. It was determined a domestic assault had occurred. Tony Alvarez-Damine was arrested and booked into jail for Assault 2nd Degree DV.
